Some of you know my story about my parents divorce and my mother taking in a new guy after her "friends" who also divorced their husbands taught her. Anyway we had a big argument yesterday because I went to hang out with my siblings that still live in her house, things were fine and then she came home and had that guy with her. Prior to this my younger brother had told me how uncomfortable he felt at home and that the prior week, she had picked him up from school and that guy was in the car with her; touching our mother on the shoulder and rubbing her thigh, etc. I felt so disgusted by this and so when she came in with him, I bit my tongue and didn't say anything since it's her house; but simply left and went back home.

Long story short we ended up arguing on the phone that night and I straight up told her everything I'd been holding back for the past two years, politely as she still is my mother. She got upset at this and went down the route of deny, deny, deny that I would never in a billion years, have thought that my mother would ever do:

1) I didn't know how you felt

2) We could just talk like adults

3) Nobody likes me

This woman is nearly 45 and acts like a cliche 20 something girl! She went down the crying and playing dumb route even though all of us children except for my older sister have told her how disgusted and uncomfortable we all are with this shit. I had a long face to face conversation about this shit TWICE, once when we found out she was running around with the guy and after our parents divorced, divorced. I asked her point blank if she was seeing the guy and I kid you guys not, she said "He's just a friend. Am I now allowed to have friends?". So here we are in 2019 and I finally just lost it with the lying, treating us like we're stupid and bs. Our conversation last night ended up with me telling her that I didn't care that she was seeing the guy and that it was her life to live as she saw fit, that if it made her happy, then so be it; but that it was not something that any of us wanted to see or hear about.

So stupid me, feeling bad about how it ended, called her back tonight to talk and she goes on again about how we could talk like adults and that the guy was just a friend. I said "was? so what is he NOW then?" and she ignores that and continues on playing dumb. I just ended the conversation and told her to have a goodnight as the conversation wasn't going anywhere since she refuses to admit that her behaviour is fucked and that it affects the younger siblings.

A.W.A.L.T. I cant' fucking believe that a 45 year old woman is behaving like this! It doesn't matter the age, race, religion, political party, whatever! They all do this shit and it is beyond maddening. The worst part is that 3 of her sons have gone through this kind of bs with their wives/gf's and for some reason, she thinks that there are no effects.
