This is an often overlooked and very important life lesson. I have successfully created the expectations that make my life flow as smoothly as possible. Some might call it selfish, but it helps me maintain my sanity.

Once I dug in and realized (to my surprise) a set of hairy, and healthy testicles, I came to an epiphany that I could say NO!.

Now people respect me more. And when I do decide to do something for others they appreciate it.

Never be afraid to say no. The key is the carrot these people dangle in front of you will only get further and further away as you start doing things for some gain in the future.

Instead turn around and walk away. The pleasure of maintaining one's dignity has a powerful affect on one's psyche. The word NO is a man's prerogative. Use it like a weapon.

When you are a genuinely nice person people will definitely take advantage. Don't be a pushover especially for anyone who does not reciprocate - man or woman.

Pretty much all male friends or so-called friends, acquaintances, and every woman ever, and most people ever. Let's just say "everyone" has been a waste of time because they had no value to me, but I did have value to them, which is why they'd ever seek me out in the first place and I'd not seek them out.

Change the maxim to-When you give people ANYTHING, even a LITTLE time, without expecting anything in return and without being given anything back, expect to be exploited at all times by that person/woman.

Yes, people, the shittiest people, the most low-value people, all sorts of people, especially women LOVE to use you for your Value, regardless of whether it comes in the form of time, energy, skills, resources, expertise, you name it, and they'll be glad to use you for it, WITHOUT GUILT or having to give anything back.

The only way to not do it is to become a selfish, cold, detached psychopath and learn to say NO and not be affected, to just consider them as cockroaches or parasites. Would you ever be bothered to entertain a cockroach?

Only give your time or Value to someone who has at least some value to you, if not a 50-50% fair exchange(which honestly I've never found. Like I said, most people have no value and nothing to offer to you and are only concerned with your own value, including wasting your time).

Women obviously being the biggest offenders of this phenomenon. With women, only one rule matters:You're the King and she's a beggar, you have Value and she doesn't, even if she's hot, you are important and she needs you, even if you happen to be a car mechanic or an unemployed bum. That is how I deal with women/people, which makes it easy to block them quickly, once they make the littlest of demand for a favor. Don't believe in being 'nice' or 'reciprocity'. Most people won't ever pay you back for your time or Value, they won't even bother to respond, in your times of need.

If you don't operate from the frame of "What's in it for me?" and "Why should I care? "..be ready to be used and screwed.

People will basically take for granted anything that is given to them without them having to put in effort towards it.

It's an important lesson. And I also had, and still have that problem easily coming back (due to being agreeable by default).
