Just heard from a friend of mine, Nate, a sad story.
He's a pretty blue-pilled guy, but was a confirmed bachelor for many years. When he reached his mid 40s, co-workers and friends began to pressure him. What's the point of having a good job and money if you're just going to be alone? they all said. Time to "grow up" they told him.
So he bowed to the pressure. His wife was pregnant at the ceremony.
2 years ago, when he was about 47, we were chatting about upcoming vacations, and he said something to the effect of, "well, I have to ask the boss" to see what her plans are. I made a snide remark about asking for his balls back, but knew this was the beginning of the end.
Sure enough, he now has 1 kid, aged 4, and a divorce, and child support/alimony for the rest of his natural life.
Yeah, maybe life can be a little quiet and lonely at times. But whatever state you're in, that state plus alimony and child support is gonna be infinitely worse. Was a few dozen starfish sex scenes worth this guy's destruction? Doubt it.
These days, Nate walks around with his head down, much worse off than when he began looking for a wife.
Don't be Nate.
