I mentor females in Software Development (I have no choice). However, i'm lucky in that I work from home. Meaning:

i) Every phone call over Skype is recorded.

ii) Email email is logged.

I have a trail of every interaction :-)

Mentoring would come off as sarcastic and infantilizing. Not my problem! If you never learnt how to take responsibility for your actions or how to be self-controlled in what you say and do to other people, what else would you expect?
