I went to my 10 year, it was fun because I was doing well, had a great job, playing in bands, hot young gf at the time. Many of the once hot girls did not age well, several had kids and it showed. Little did I know I'd succumb to the plantation about 4 years later, which lasted 20 years of marriage before separation and divorce.

I never went to my reunions... until I decided to go to my 40th.

All the fat, ugly women that looked down on me when they were hot high school girls dating chad the football star. All the "darling" sports stars that are now 'NOTHING' in dead-end low-pay careers. The divorced sluts/stars looking for redemption. The (former) sad nerds that are now rich engineers/lawyers/movie producers that never married because they weren't "hot" in high school.

You are missing it!

i think it's more about status bragging and comparing each others plus the women will try to lookout if someone is a better upgrade than their current match or if they are single they might hook up again with one of these guys if they make a decent living.

This is the same as having a zuckerbook with contacts who never bother to get in touch when you send them a simple "hey how you been hope you good, etc" message.

I kept seeing my former classmates bragging about their lives - how they were better than others by doing XYZ activity or going to XYZ places. It's a narcissistic cesspool.

Delete your zuckerbook and all that nonsense disappears from your mind.

I deleted mine when started seeing wahmyn who ignored me before started adding me when they hit their respective walls, like fucking clockwork.

Years ago, before I even graduated high school, my uncle and I had a discussion about high school reunions.

He said there's no point in going to any of them, people never change. The ones who were assholes in school are still assholes, and unless you moved, your good friends in high school are probably still your friends today. It's more of a status thing, and I really don't give a shit what anyone thinks about the way I live.

I have not and will not attend any of my reunions.

I changed high schools 4 times because I moved a lot, high school was boring, didn't participate in activities, dances, games, sports, clubs, etc, I did go to Grad night at Disneyland though, but I didnt even go to graduation, last day of HS i walked into the office, asked for my diploma, gave em all the finger, and went to USMC bootcamp 4 days later. Fuck high school.

I was the loser in HS. On our reunion I drove up in my tuned Focus RS and everyone acted like we were best friends since being an embryo. Don't go to reunions unless you:

A: Want to mess with everyone and put their ego in their place

B: Fuck the sluts that go there, but that's extremely dangerous today

C: Have nothing better to do

I went to my 10 year reunion. It was all the same old bullshit, with the same groups of people hanging together, and people comparing how awesome they were. It was a complete waste of time. I've skipped all of the others.

I have never been to any of my high school reunions, and I don't expect to ever go to one. High school and college were the two roughest and most unhappy times of my life.

It really wasn't anyone's fault. I just didn't fit in, for a lot of different reasons. I got made fun of to my face, and I dealt with it by avoiding most social interaction in high school. I imagine that I was probably made fun of, to a horrible level, behind my back.

I went to a fairly large high school, so there were lots of people that I never really knew. Because I avoided social interactions as much as possible, by the time I graduated from high school, I no longer really knew a lot of the people that I had known before. I didn't communicate with any of my high school classmates regularly after graduation -- which was quite a while ago by now. I have lived away from my high school's town for a lot of the time since then -- I have MAYBE talked to ten of my high school classmates at all in the past 20 years, if even that many. Walking into one of my high school reunions now, I imagine, would feel very much like walking into a room full of strangers, especially it were mostly the people there that I never knew well.

My life did get much, much better in a lot of ways as I got older. I have had many awesome experiences, things that I would never have counted on happening when I was younger. I'm not into bragging, and especially not to random strangers, which is what my high school reunion would probably be basically full of now. Even worse, it would probably bring back a lot of the unhappy feelings that I had back then. So, what would be the point in going?

I know that there were probably lots of nice people that went to high school with me. Even the people who made fun of me really badly, they probably weren't that bad of people -- they just didn't know any better back then. It wasn't any of their faults that I just didn't fit in. If I had been a different type of person, my high school experience could have been completely different.

I have to say that I do sometimes feel a bit sad about the whole thing, when I think about how I kind of missed out on that part of life. But looking back, I don't think that I could have fitted in very well, even if I had spent a lot of time and effort trying. That being said, I also have gotten to do some really great things that many people never get to do. And some of what made me not fit in (the fact that I was a huge nerd that wanted to study so much of the time) is also directly related to my ability to have so much fun now.

My parents and many of their friends totally enjoy their reunions. They came from small towns with small high schools, in a time where people didn't move across the country so often, and so a lot of their classmates all knew each other really well. Their reunions are one of the main social events that they still go to, and they do go to an effort to be there. Again, it's kind of sad that there isn't really something like that for me. But what can anyone do? Each of us has our own unique life story, and this is part of mine.

I have been to my 30th.

Didn’t see many of the folks for ages and it was interesting talking to the men. Most of them aged well.

On the other hand it was fun watching the ladies, I can tell you the wall is undefeated, takes it’s toll and is making no exceptions!

I was socially uninterested in the HS experience. No involvement in any school related activities. Did not go to prom. Don't really remember most of their names & I'll bet they wouldn't recognize me today.

I was super hype to go to my 10 year. I had two really good friends in highschool and wanted to catch up with them . The first venue was nice they were going to do it near me so easy uber / drive to and from there ... the thing is though they waited too fucking late to finalize a place and of course two and a half months out people weren't able to buy tickets up .

Well the mom panel decided that instead of doing out near me they'd try to do it back in our hometown first they tried local restaurants but again it was too late for everyone to buy into it .

Ultimately the reunion turned into like 8 people doing a backyard cookout at one of the classmates house .

It was such a shit show . If nothing else it spurred me to get into contact with ym two buddies and that was awesome I hadn't talked to the guys in 10 years and for the most part it wasn't like our relationships missed the beat , just one of us was a dad now and we talked about how crazy that shit was.

If there's someone you want to reconnect with I think it's a good chance to do that otherwise out of a class of a few hundred I got into contact with the 2 who mattered to me.
