I have just finished reading Bad Blood. It’s the story of how Elizabeth Holmes deceived the entire world in one of the largest Silicon Valley scams to date, which is saying something. What’s worse is her scam involves throwing real sick people under the bus with fake blood tests. Now, it’s not like male executives are saints, but what struck me the most was how the world actively aided her in her scam because they all want to believe in her fairytale so much: a female version of Steve Jobs who dropped out of Stanford to start a revolutionary tech company to save human lives and get rich in the process.

What they ended up with, however, was the exact opposite.
