I'm a 20 year old male living in Germany who was born in Canada. I'd like some advice from people knowledgeable on the trades industry in Canada and hopefully also Germany for my first question.

First, would it be better to stay here and get a trade degree and take it back with me to Canada? I've been told by many people in my life including my father that a trade apprenticeship from Germany would be worth more in Canada than a similar apprenticeship from Canada. I'm wondering how true this feels to other people with experience.

Second, what kind of fields compensate better than normal for isolated conditions? I ask because I am a TFL type; no friends, very little family, always been a social outcast. I was looking into work on the oil rigs because I thought I might get really good pay for being away from everything any everyone for so long, even though that wouldn't be hard for me. But it seems like jobs are drying up in that sector. Any ideas on similar jobs that might give me a bonus for what would normally be a downside for others? I want to capitalize on my TFL-ness as much as possible if it's possible.

Third, I guess, which regions of Canada are in desperate need of tradesmen, and what career should I look into? I'd like to go into work as an electrician but I'm open to changing my mind if there are lucrative opportunities in other fields elsewhere. My main thing is I'd like something that I can do under the table jobs for, have my job be in demand so my living situation is flexible, that kind of thing.
