Sad is more like it but something is fishy. I've never had to pay child support so I cant say this for certain but I dont think a court would let you get anywhere having to payback $15k worth of child support without sending you to jail.

If the baby mama doesn't push for the courts to charge you with contempt, they will typically allow the arrears to pile up. Just speaking from experience... (Just want to note that I pay my child support. Long story short, my boss embezzled it and I ended up 7k in the hole. Whore of a judge gave no fucks, even with evidence, and sent me to jail anyway.)
