MGTOW is doing whatever the fuck you (as a man) want and answering to nobody. It could be flying helicopters or learning to sew. Trying to do "Manly stuff" sounds like you're still trying to please women.

Backpacking longer than a 2 or 3 day weekend. Requires long term planning and adaptable foresight, some type of study pertaining to the land about to be trekked, reading weather patterns, compass and mapping skills. All mental. As for physical challenges look at weight of pack, experience in outdoors settings, reaction or non reaction to potentially life threatening situations such as being lost, losing gear, running our of food/water sources, analysis and assessment of energy levels throughout said excursion, and gaining strength through physical exertion.

As for spiritual challenges, there will be plenty along your path alone in the woods/deserts/jungles but the biggest one is being raw and real about,to, and of yourself. We drown our selfs in distraction of spiritual destruction just to avoid being with our baggage and true self who wants to see the individual grow...and that cost is pain, emotional, some physical, but the most damming is the spirit pains. Of all pains that are the most devilish and stagnant is spiritual pain. Let it out, the wild world of nature never judges...take a hike
