Reading global news. Some girlpower article has a hardon about how the new Finnish government has more female members than male.

So what? Women are in power through proxies since the modern era. We live in representative democracies. Women make up the majority of voting age population for more than half century now. Doesn't matter that most politicians are male as they were elected by a female majority electorate.

Not only that, in many countries females are more likely to vote too. In the US, for example, female voters outnumber male voters by 10-25% each election.

So I was thinking to myself "I wonder how was their campaign. Let me guess - more taxes and govt. services?". Yyyepp.

"His governing programme includes promises of tax rises and higher spending to bolster the Finnish welfare state."

Since studies/polls show that women are FAAAAAR more into higher taxes and increased government services and interference, and since they effectively don't pay taxes, as far more is spent on them compared to what they pay in, I often wonder, whether modern societies and their freedoms is sustainable through a 1 person = 1 unit of voting power system. For now, it seems we are all heading towards socialist / communist dystopias.
