Years ago I was the stereotypical nice guy always getting played. I wouldn’t say I was a simp, but I definitely wasn’t assertive and had a personality that was easy to take advantage of. I see women complain about how men are “pigs”/“trash”/etc for cheating on/playing them, yet they will tear guys to shreds who are genuinely nice to them. I never had a malicious bone in my body until I was degraded one too many times, now I feel a sense of resentment thats very unnatural for me. Aside from a few shitty one night stands, most of which I regret; I haven’t had any real girlfriend at all and I’m 24. Every time I’ve thought one was going to blossom I ended up feeling worse than when I started. Now I feel no desire to even be friendly or cordial, I avoid women at work as much as I can and make limited eye contact at social events. I’d like to feel less alienated from the opposite sex at some point, but at the moment I can’t break these behavior/thought patterns.
