If you are asked a question that starts with “tell me about a time when” you want to use the STAR method to answer them. Situation- what was the issue you identified. Task- what where your responsibilities for the situation Action- what steps did you do to Correct them. Results-how did it benefit the team and company.

Since mentioned it’s a supervisor position, you can expect to be asked questions on how you handled different situations that typically come up with subordinates. You could also face the question on how do you handle a disagreement between a boss question.

You’re resume got you to the interview. They already like you and think you’re capable of the job. The face to face is there to see if you’ll fit in with the team.

Do your best, be yourself, and don’t rush your answers.

Think of questions to ask them. Show them that you are also interviewing them.

Learn as much as you can about the company. Be informed.

Don't be nervous (I know, I know. Ok, don't be overly nervous). Show them that you're ready.

Another one they are probably going to ask is what your leadership style is. So think a bit about what this is especially this day in age you have to deal with a lot of personal conflicts that have nothing to do with the job and you will be expected to handle and resolve that.

I’ve impressed and gotten sup/manger roles.

My style is a helpful hand and an iron fist. I will be in the weeds with my people so they will respect me therefore work better. No matter what the job when it’s hectic or busy and you see you boss right there leading and delegating people respect that. We’ve all had the boss that does nothing and just sits in their office all day. Also make sure you also mention that training and continued education on the job is important as you want to create productive knowledgeable people for the company. Learning what your people’s duties are so you know how to delegate and ensure they are done properly. Enforcing company policy and procedures should also come up too.

What these guys already said; and don't be scared to say you don't know...even if you did know just an hour before but you can't recall. Don't try to stumble around and sort of give an answer, just be honest.

Be confident, hold yourself high but loose, meaning you're not stiff as hell. smile, strong handshakes, eye contact and comfortably loud voice, conversational. Ask questions about the interviewers as well as the company.

At the end, smile and tell them that was a good interview, really good, and thank them for doing that for you.<edit add> Do this because you want to think that you have an expectation of a certain level of professionalism, and you can stroke them a bit by saying that they met your expectation.

Finally, a lot of the interview isn't about your technical knowledge, experience or skills, it's about personality and fit. Pay attention as soon as you get in the door to figure out what you can about the culture, and use that as a way to benefit you, if you like what you see.

If they do situational type interviews , that is they ask you a scenario and how you would respond to it , have some ready to go.Called S.T.A.R type of interviews They dont need to be real , they can be made up , but research the situations you might find yourself in and how you would / should respond to these at a supervisory level.

I have been a supervisor for large mining organisations for years , running crews of up to 30 people . They want a supervisors mindset . Do the research , write it down and rehearse your answers so they flow naturally.Rehearse, rehearse , rehearse .

If you dont know how to answer something , ask them to rephrase the question. Do not go " ummmmmmmmmm...." say instead ' let me think for a moment ".

Have some questions ready to ask . Things like " what do you expect me to achieve in my first three months in this role " " Is there opportunity for advancement into senior level further down the road"

You need to make it like you are interviewing them as to whether you want the position or not , dont seem like you want it just for the money.

If they ask about positve/negative aspects of yourself , follow up any negatives with a positve. Something like " I am a little overweight , but I have started a new gym programme to work on myself" or " I am not the best at cooking so I have started trying new recipes at home and enrolled in a cooking class" Always back up a negative with what actions you are taking .If they ask something that looks to be a problem or issue , back it up with an action you will / can take
