Sure, what she's telling you might be true... but you should consider the possibility that you're a big, fat meal ticket for her (and possibly her family as well) first and most.

A friend of mine spend a few years in South America. When he came back, the three pals he made there and who went (also Western expats from our country) miraculously had all been married to local women back there during their time abroad, and at an uncharacteristically young age at that - all of them in their early 20s, which is around 5-10 years younger than is the norm here.

My interpretation: these guys were your average rank-and-file betas who never experienced actual female attention but suddenly became hot stuff due to their status as meal ticket-gringos - and fell for the first girl that actually put some work into winning them over (because hey, meal ticket!)... and roped him into marriage by guilt-tripping him with her pretend morals.

While the Filippines aren't South America, I positive that the dynamic is the same for your situation.
