I love how these articles beat around the bush in trying to justify cheating women:

Claiming the issues that plague these families aren't all just the women's fault... That's a bit farfetched. You require a man to knock a woman up, but in the case of cheating, the man "at fault" is not part of the family. Within the family unit, the blame lies completely in the hands of the woman.

Many men who try to not pay child support in these situations have historically been forced by the courts to continue paying. Most courts rule that if the husband signed the birth certificate and began a father relationship with the child, then he must continue that relationship, at least from a financial perspective, even if he did not know that the child was fathered by someone else at the time he signed. This obviously creates mounds of heartache, confusion and complications for the husband, wife and child involved.

And there you have it. It's just about the money. Why is the amount of child support related to the amount of income you have? A child doesn't cost more just because you earn more. You can give the child more toys, more clothes, more more more. That doesn't justify you being forced to pay that extra towards your ex with no guarantee she uses it for the child.

In any case, one of the main correlations related to poverty is that children are more likely to grow up poor if there is only one parent in the home. Avoiding paternal discrepancy would be one way to cut childhood poverty.

Women get custody most of the time, often while draining the welfare system and collecting whatever child support/alimony they can get. Unless you divorced someone the likes of Jeff Bezos, you are going to lose a lot of income. And what do these children have for a role model? A temper tantrum prone single stay at home mom. I wonder why these kids grow up in poverty?
