My mother said something shocking.

I was having a discussion while at my parents last week and can't remember the exact topic at hand. It was something in regards to society in general. So my father and I were just shooting the shit, and my mother then said, and I quote, "I wouldn't want to be a man in this day and age."

I wonder if this is simply because she is an older woman with traditional values, and can view the current world through an objective lense, or if women are becoming more aware of how the world just keeps getting worse for men.
