I thought Northern Territory had it for a while? (Paid domestic leave) I thought was introduced in 2015, but only 5 days instead of 10.

Of course this is good, this needs to be a world wide legislation, this will just force employeers to stop hiring women, great news, in my country some companies avoid hiring women, women get pregnacy paid leave, the company has to pay half of all her kids kindergarden, give them bonuses based on kids, mandatory insurances, and you know what happens? nobody wants to hire women and they are mostly getting hired for shitty barista jobs, guess the country? shitcialist venezuela, this is good for you guys, less women getting hired

No. Most people lie about being sick or that their grandma died so they won’t have to go into work. Now you’re throwing in that I not only don’t have go into work but I’m still getting paid for it?! Yeah a lot of liars definitely will take advantage.

Also what about the small companies. Now they not only have to pay a worker who doesn’t even come in but they also have to pay someone else to do the work all because of something that didn’t even occur on their place of business?!

How does this make any sense. Also domestic violence isn’t like the movie version where men just abuse their wives because they need power. Ask any police officer who deals with domestic calls. Most are that both parties are to blame (of course the law only allows for the man to be arrested even if she is the one who strted it), both equally are at fault. So in these cases do both parties get to get paid time off? Where does this shit end and again why are companies being held responsible?!
