My father died when I was 10. He was the best father ever. He was rich and was always teaching me interesting stuff and replied all of my questions.
I read about psychology and I read that men who grew up without a father have a huge disadvantage and boys whose fathers are not alive behaved poorly.
When my father was alive I was the most naughty kid in school and I did every shit I want because if someone was up to say me something then I thought my father would beat the crap out of them (This never really happened btw).
When my father died my confidence decreased because I was aware that my mother is weak (not financially but you know the male things).
After a week I never cried or felt really sad but I had an unknown pressure. I instantly became a man myself and started to not give a fuck about my birthday parties my father died 2 weeks before my fucking b-day party).
I learned how to take care of things and gained back my confidence. I became academically successfull even if I laced the father who always helped me with my lessons and foreign language. I became a mentally strong self conscious boy who learned everything from the internet and books about life. When other kids relied on their fathers for their responsibilities I didn’t even tell my mother about them. I took responsibilities and helped my mother by reminding her things like taking keys when leaving the house or online checking-in when taking a plane.
So I think it affected me the opposite. I didn’t become the stereotypical fatherless kid.
I told you the pros but what cons I might have about growing without a father?
