Given the way the average man is socialized and acculturated (regardless of the culture in question) it shouldn't be surprising that a lot of MGTOW remain in red pill rage for a good, long time. It takes time and effort to work through this. and this MGTOW forum is one of the places that men choose to work through their red pill rage in the way that works for them, and with other many who have been there to offer support and insight.

Only after one has worked through the rage, and then even worked through what life is going to be like after you've chucked all the conditioning and programming, do you get to the stage at which you can start being a whole human being. The motorcycle and video game posts are men discovering that they have hobby interests and can indulge them without anyone wagging a finger at this. Of course, very few individuals are going to remain satisfied with having their entire life consist of playing video games, but this too is a stage of growth -- specifically, it is learning that you can enjoy your time on your own account without anyone monitoring your spending or your time. This is part of working through the post-red pill rage.

After that, men who have taken ownership over their own lives go in all directions. Many of these leave social media and so you don't hear about their life hacks because they're busy living their lives on their own terms. For those who stay, there is no one way to go your own way, and no one life hack to facilitate going your own way. Men have amazingly diverse interests. Men also have amazingly diverse ways of life. Those who remove themselves from society and go off the grid certainly aren't thinking about short term disability insurance, as they have chosen to live a life apart from any social or financial safety net. Those who, on the contrary, immerse themselves in technology and modernity may look at something like short term disability insurance as a relic of the twentieth century, and look to high technology work-arounds to keep their lives viable if they are injured.

The only generic advice is to find the meaning, value, and purpose that resonates with you, and to build a life around it, whether that life is in the wilderness or the center of a city. The kind of meaning, value, and purpose that you find will involve distinctive tips and techniques for life that may not be applicable to those who have found other meaning, value, and purpose.

Even something as generic as living a "well balanced" life is not going to apply to everyone. Some people don't want balance in their life; they want to fully immerse themselves in their work in order to bring out of themselves and express something from within that could come to light in no other way.

Avoiding the social stigma of going your own way is an unfortunate necessity in the current climate. Parents, friends, and co-workers often ask that dreaded question: "When are you going to get married?"

Or some variation of that, anyway.

Straight up declaring oneself MGTOW can have unfortunate consequences. Explaining what it is to people who dont know about it is difficult. Blue pill people have a hard time comprehending the very possibility of not wanting a relationship; it runs counter to their worldview.

I've found that the best tactic is deflection, especially if it appears to play into the blue pill mindset on the surface. "I just haven't found the right person yet" or "I'm focusing on getting my life in order". Anything that on the surface appears to play into the idea that your still looking, even when you're not.

Worst comes to the worst, if someone keeps pressing, drop the A-bomb. Claim to be either asexual, aromantic, or both. This works particularly well if whomever is pressing you happens to be in the Progressive camp; you're claiming membership of a minor subsection of LGBT status, of which asexuality is a recognized aspect. That tends to get them off your back about it.

And if they don't, you get to call them raging homophobes and report them to HR. ( :P jk)

I'm one of those people that are indifferent about the women issues.

On "navigating the waters of independence," just remember that women are going to be a part of our lives whether we like it or not. What we need to remember is to always find a way to protect ourselves by becoming professional, maintain distance and keep our wallets to ourselves. When a woman approach you especially to build a "personal relationship" with you, respectively decline in a public space. NEVER be with said woman in an enclosed space, especially when there's no surveillance. Be alert and beware. Always remember there's no such things as free lunch.

On the red pill rage bit, always release the frustrations and anger on something useful. For example, gardening is considered to be therapeutic. So does going to the gym and lift. Martial arts is another popular way to vent your anger but just make sure you project it on a hanging sandbag. Physically harming people is a no-no, cause there's no way you're getting out of that one unscathed.

Next on having a balanced MGTOW life. I personally believe that the first thing that you should do (once you're done with women) is to focus on your finances. No money, no honey. So pay off all your credit card debts and clear off all your loans: house loans, car loans, personal loans, student loan, etc. You should work very hard to get rid of them ASAP. Once that is done, focus on creating sources of income other than your salary: interests from fixed deposit, income from side gigs, investments, building your retirement funds, etc. You should work towards building an emergency fund (1 month salary) and work on your savings (3~6 months salary) first though. I also agree with you on the insurance bit as well, especially health insurance especially in the US (cause I heard the medical bills there are crazy) in order to cover unexpected injuries or so.

Once you took care of your finances, it's up to you really on what you want to do with your life. We are called Men Going Their Own Way, right? For example, I have a side gig as a paid translator, I work on scanlations, planning/chairing Pathfinder (D&D) sessions and I hike. I also have a dream of making my own RPG so I'm learning JAVA and RPG Maker (a man has to start somewhere, right?)

I agree. The opposite of love is indifference. But you’re mistaken if you think what men say here is hate. Far from it. If men truly hated women at our core and there was no love at all? We would become extremely violent. Yet violent crime is on the decline.

As for how to live a happy life? Men need to prioritize their health and happiness. Invest in your health, see a doctor often as needed. Invest in your retirement. And spend time getting to know yourself and what you enjoy. You can spent time alone, or with friends. Everything does not require a woman to enjoy.

Spend time invested in your hobbies. Go to concerts and events. Go to a movie. Read a book. Pick up a skill just for the fun of it. The world has so much to offer but the programming was strong. We were lied to. We were told to believe we need a woman to enjoy all these things and that’s the furthest from the truth.

Go out and enjoy something to eat because you want to. Get a massage, check out something new, just to see if you might like it. All the things you’re curious about but hesitant. Just try it. Open your eyes and look at the world through the wonder of a child’s mind, tempered by an adults reason.

Enjoy your life brothers. There is plenty out there for you to experience!

In order to build a life as MGTOW, you must take a daily dose of red pill because you are still ingrained in the blue pill program since birth and there are alot of things to learn and overcome the rage phase and not to mention the fact that you could be one blowjob away from the plantation. So, all it takes is time and patience, use them wisely.

So, to begin, you must read the essential books. Here are some that I would strongly recommend:

The Manipulated Man by Esther Vilar.
The Predatory Female by Rev. Lawrence Shannon.
The Rational Male by Tomassi Rollo.
No More Mr Nice Guy by Robert A. Glover.

There are other books listed in the links under the sidebar.

The most important thing is to focus on yourself only. Go to a gym and lift weights. Exercise. Get into boxing or something.

Find a hobby that keep you occupied on your free time. You could play a sport or learn to speak a different language. Study about motorcycles. Anything that gets you interested, dedicate your time to it.

Create your cost/risk analysis of your expenses and calculate what you can do with your money.

And watch MGTOW videos, especially Sandman, Terrence Popp, CoachGregAdams, TFM, Tom Leykis.

With time, you'll get there to reach your goals and have a balanced MGTOW life.

I work 40 hours per week, train 3 times per week, eat around 3300 calories, 150g of protein a day as a vegan, I currently weigh 171 pounds, I am aiming for 210 pounds in 3 years at the same body fat, I am 6 foot 4 in height by the way. After that, I want to travel to southeast asia and become a divemaster and work as one for around a year, if I like it enough, I will stay and live an amazing life, otherwise I can come back home and join the military as I will have more than enough strength and discipline to succeed in it.

This is how you succeed as a MGTOW, you need goals, then you work hard to achieve those goals and it will give you all that you need to feel fulfilled. I fill the rest of my time with anime, video games, youtube and spend some time in this subreddit also. If someone saw me in 5 years, they would see that I would be very different than right now, I have big dreams and I am working hard to reach them.

While men can, and do, come here to post their successes, a man going is own way tends to claim for himself the success that comes because his focus is not divided by the leech that is family life. He does not need to brandish it like an I-told-you-so for validation from other people. What he does need is a means of venting the frustrations that gynocentrism have caused him; these are not feelings and thoughts that most men can express, much less explore, with 99.9% of the people in their immediate social groups. Both sides of the gynocentric coin (tradcons and feminists, which account for the overwhelming majority of society) despise the notion of a man going his own way. Such a man has to be able to properly vent that frustration without worrying about job loss, alienation of family and possible legal ramifications.

Obviously the first thing you need to do is assess your finances. Make a budget for yourself and see where your money is going. As a single male your expenses should be low. Including rent my expenses should be maximum $15,000 a year. I'm going to challenge myself to start living on only $1,000 a month including rent, utility bills, groceries and transport costs so I should survive on $12,000 a year. I aim to save $20,000 a year or more from my paycheck to put in investments and bank accounts.

With time, the social stigma disappears as people move on to more promising targets. As for myself, I have developed a minimalist lifestyle and it has made some positively profound changes in my life. I couple it with the decision to get rid of my television. My thinking is clearer, I am less stressed, and believe it or not, I am eating less. When I eat not distracted by the TV, I eat about half what I normally would.

I think there are clear differences between older and younger guys - and I think the younger guys have it much rougher in a lot of ways - the societal and personal pressure is ramped up, whereas for us older guys, most of us learned thru the school of hard knocks - all I have to do to get back on track is look back on all the relationshits from the past - the red pills I missed are legion.

For me MGTOW has been a slow process not a leap - you go thru the red pill rage - use it to make yourself more fit, and/ or more financially sound and then you come out the other side and now, the splinter keeps poking me and I think a little bit and realize how much of my current MGTOW life would be severely disrupted / compromised if some random THOT was part of it - no more sleeping til noon, staying up to 1 am, working out a couple hours a day, cooking the food I like, when I like it, and most importantly, NOT DOING shit I never wanted to do in the first place (shopping, working extra years to pay for shopping) etc etc.

You sssssllllliiiiiddddeee into MGTOW I think - just over time you add these things - hobbies, skills, money, fun - and then one day the splinter pokes your mind and says what about a chick ? And you realize how much of your new life you would have to dispose of to fit that THOT in there, and you're like - why ? what for ? what do I gain from doing that ? What would she add to my already pretty cool life ?

And the answer basically turns out to be 5 minutes of starfish sex and lots and lots of headaches.

And you say, self - maybe better to just leave things the fuck alone.
