Content is the only positive feeling I remember from relationships after the first couple months. I would argue being happy is certainly a state of mind over a momentarily positive event. But, there's no way to control being happy when someone else is at least half in control of your state of mind. And that someone doesn't always have to be a lover. If you don't control your state of mind, how would you know if it dictates whether you are happy or not.
