DAVIS COUNTY, Utah, May 17, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A Davis County woman was jailed on Thursday after allegedly firing shots at her estranged husband as he fled following an argument regarding their ongoing divorce.

Dianne McLean, 55, has been booked on suspicion of aggravated assault and two counts of domestic violence in the presence of a child. All charges are third-degree felonies.

Where is the attempted murder charge?

“Subject engaged in a verbal argument with her estranged husband concerning an ongoing divorce at her home,” says a probable cause statement filed by an officer of the Davis County Sheriff’s Office.

“During the argument the subject became enraged, stating she was going to ‘do it,’ and retrieved a handgun.

“Fearing for his safety, the husband began to leave the home in his vehicle and, while doing so, heard and observed the subject fire two rounds from the handgun in his direction as he was driving away.”

The husband called 911 and drove to safety, the statement says.

Thank goodness he got away.

hold up, we dont know the situation, gang. as much as i love jumping on a triflin hoe and exacting ye olde lynch mob justice, we cant just presume shes guilty because the vast majority of her kind are guilty. we are better than that. now, lets just assume for a moment that the story has several facts: that the two of them were in the same habitation, there was an arguement, the male fled and the woman shot twice in his direction.

this is not enough to condemn and hang anyone, and lemme tell ya bois, im all for a hangin. we dont know what happened. maybe the husband was a meth head who broke into the home and was trying to run off with her 64 inch flat screen. id chase him outside and shoot at his ass to in that case. then again, he could also have returned to the house he purchased that she ran him out of because he was a beta soyboy submissive and she was very very aggressive. she could have genuinely wanted to kill him and stuff. the point of this is simple: we dont know what actually happened and the article doesnt really give details.
