In 2016, 2.2 million people get married and 800,000 get divorced, doesn’t sound like good odds. Out of the remaining marriages only 65% are unhappy.

If you applied these stats to any other activity, people would think you’re out of your god damned mind for ever considering it.

With that said, I don’t know a single person that is happily married. I know couples that were happy when they were first married. I bet if you were to ask people that have been married over 4 years if they were happy the number would be greater than 65%.
