We rag on mothers all the time for programming their own hamsters and need for validation into their brood, and then using their kids as justification for how their lives turned out. The child is just a vehicle to help the mother live out her fantasies. That is you. You are that.

I get that you feel like all this misery in your life was because your daddy didn't buy you a fucking boat and teach you how to be the popular jock. I get that you feel like had you gotten surgery or maybe had an extra 6 inches lopped onto your height, you would be happy.

But really, you wouldn't be. Because you're you, because you think the way you do, and most of all, because you are in fantasy land. Fix your life - live a life that will model the right traits and the right qualities to your son. Lead by example, not by being the dad that redshirts their kid to give them a leg up on high school football. Encourage them to learn skills, work hard, think for themselves (not just swallow some black pill), and give them to tools to empower themselves.

By giving him the best head start i can. I didnt have a dad never used the word dad in relation to myself. But i had to learn everything by doing things and failing so many times. But i learned and am able to take care of myself the way that makes me happy. So just helping him understand his place in this crazy ass world the best you can would be my guess.

Seems like you’re getting a lot of hate but most of your ideas sound pretty good to me. These commenters are all on TRP to help improve themselves but they wouldn’t even need to do that if they had stronger guidance from their own fathers. You didn’t even say anything about pressuring him to get girls, which is great. You’re essentially setting him up for success, with women and in general, as long as you also teach him to hold a strong frame. This is something more guys should be thinking about

Teach him how to be a good man
Teach him how to survive the world best he can. If it means tough love, so be it. Spoiling him will just make him soft and is an injustice. But be fair and no abuse.
Tell him that heart breaks are normal and more people go through it than not. Teach him how boys think and how girls react. Will not shield him but ensure he is aware so he is not blind sided.
Make him play sports, team sports especially. Tell him winning is great, but being a good sports man and trying your best is as good. Because winning is more than just a status, but a process and an attitude.
Feed him the best food or most suitable food so that he full fills his potential physical form.
Tell him about the importance of education and why learning is not just its reward but proving you are resilient and can finish from start to end without giving up.
Show him good role models to follow and aim for, not to be like them exactly, but to try to adopt some of the traits from those people and apply it to himself.
Teach him manual skills like neat hand writing, hammering a nail with his hands, cleaning the house, being practical... because other kids will most likely be limited to technological gadgets that will prevent them from picking up manual skills.
Teach him about outdoors, animals and the world and why its important to look after it, but also why a lot of humans are not looking after it... tell him about greed and that humans are naturally selfish through self preservation

Being the older guy will help him since even when he'll end up short, during much of his development period, he'll be taller than his peers, which will be positive for his overall well being.

I was on the younger side of my class but was easily T10 height all my school years.
