I tell my family straight up I don't want a wife and kids.

My sister doesn't even want to get married and have kids.

We both think it's a scam.

My mom thinks my attitude towards women will change since I told her I'm MGTOW and I'm still saying no.

My dad supports my decision and understands why I think the way I do.

I'm very lucky my parents care about each other and are still together but my generation there's no hope for us.

Past generations got to experience what love/relationships were but that no longer exists now for mine.

My mother is starting to get aggressive with the marriage stuff and starting to actually talk shit to me. It's fun to deflect all the bullshit tossed my way

I simply tell the older members of my tradcon family, who simply cannot comprehend how broken things are now vs the 1950's when they got married, that we had a "private ceremony". Way easier than taking a half hour to explain yet again why the state is not invited into our relationship.

My family knows that I'll never get married again. I was stupid to do it the first time. Fortunately, I didn't get divorce raped, as we didn't have much positive equity in anything. However, I still lost a shit ton of money throughout the marriage because she LOVED to spend money.

The first few years of my marriage were the best years of my life. She left me for many reasons, but not for another man, so there’s that at least. I cannot imagine ever being happy again now that I’ve loved and lost. Never get married. Even if you don’t get financially devastated when they leave, you could very well be emotionally devastated like me. I was happy before I was married, happiER while married, now more miserable than ever before in my life. I hate myself and my life. Heartbreak is a real thing, and I really don’t think this pain will ever go away. It’s been a few months and still feels just as powerful. Every day is horrible. Nothing is fun. Being connected to someone on such a deep level is insanely risky. A few great years in exchange for a lifetime of misery? Not worth it.

GYOW and never date. Stop before you do something stupid, like fall in love. It will end in horrible suffering 24/7 that you cannot escape. I even dream about my divorce. It’s so much more difficult than I could have ever imagined.

Again, DO NOT DATE. The pain is not worth it when it ends.

Find joy in life without a relationship and then stay that way. Once you’re in the trap, you just might lose your life.
