On r/askwomen a question recently asked was “What is the worst way someone has broke up with you?” One of the most common answers, “Ghosting.”

I’ve started ghosting more recently, not because I’m afraid of confrontation, but because I’ve found respect for myself. I’m more than willing to break up in person, but there are some instances where girls (and guys) just don’t deserve it.

I ghost because I can see through the manipulations better as I get older. There is few things I find more insulting that catching someone trying to play with my mind, I’m a real person after all. It’s hard to respect you when you just can’t be honest and resort to childish games or gaslighting like it’s your second language.

If you’ve been manipulative and mentally abusive to me through our relationship, I don’t owe you a thing. In fact, leaving without saying a word should tell you more about how I feel about you than words ever will.

I’ll break up with you in person, but if you can’t handle the smallest amount of criticism without getting mentally or physically violent, what’s the point? Girls don’t have to develop much of a discipline to refrain from violence like boys do, we are taught from a young age. I feel like parents are less afraid to be hard on young boys than girls. While both sexes are at fault for this it’s not my responsibility to baby your daughter through human emotions that she should have learned from you as a child.

I feel like a huge amount of the problems pointed out in this sub when it comes from differences in men and women is the differences in how we were raised. When you raise any human child to believe they are a “daddy’s little princes,” it’s cute, but manifest that into an adult and you’ve created a monster. Even most will say they are relieved to have boys rather than girls.

I might be in the minority here when I say I’m a MGTOW and I still date. I do it my own way, and I’m not letting anyone take advantage of me. I just thought I would point out how telling it is that once a guy had a little self respect that you become this “outrageous” obstacle for women. Letting you completely dominate me is not equality, it’s an unrealistic ideal that has unfortunately been drilled into your brain since childhood.
