I'd recommend, instead of wasting time reading about Scientology or Mormonism, to go to coursera, or great courses plus, and level up in your career. Take the certifications.

RP is about phyical fitness, but it is also about mental fitness to me. This is harder to discuss here as we work in different professions, whereas we all have biceps and triceps, but is equally important.

That's mostly a waste of time if you're already convinced of the urgency of the situation, maybe listen to podcasts on downtime to keep up with decent developments. I guess the best way to cover your ass in the coming apocalypse would be to get in a high position in the government. Failing that, studying robotics, computer networking, "Internet of Things" devices. If you're not much of a Poindexter, then small scale farming, survival, crafting, small arms self-defense...

Stashing away money seems like a good goal, but even if you buy real estate in some small island state, you'll at most end up with a subsistence lifestyle in the TEOTWAWKI. Maybe you'll pass away peacefully at least.
