I’m 27 and when I was in the military (early twenties) most of my friends were just getting married at the time. It’s been about four-five years and I’d say around 60% of those I knew who were married are divorced or having martial issues. The worst part is that most of them have kids.

The amount of stress and anguish these guys are facing is absolutely absurd. Considering most of them are still in the military, working constant 12s or 10s this cannot be healthy for them...some of my closest friends who are confiding in me are really near their breaking points. They constantly tell me how smart or lucky I am for avoiding this.

Thank God I didn’t get married. It’s just hitting me now how much more difficult my life would have been.
