Hello brothers, I would like to share of you some thoughts of mine that I've been "torturing" my mind with for some time while listening to Dio's "Holy Diver" album. The more a swallowed the redpill the more the deeper the meaning of the lyrics and closer to the Redpill/MGTOW philosophy seemed.

To avoid any misunderstandings, I do not claim that my interpretations are the only ones possible or that my interpretations are necessarily right. Dio is connected with esotericism/the occult and there's certainly a way to interpret the lyrics in his songs from that perspective. The music is great, the lyrics are deep. It's definitely music that you go to listen for more than once. If you guys think that this post doesn't fit this subreddit apologies. This album lead me to a lot of thoughts and I loved the idea of sharing it with other fellow men.

Holy Diver - The Album's Cover

I'd like to start with the album's cover (you can easily find it by googling) "Holy Diver". The album cover of this famous album presents us with a demon/the Devil (or something that resembles a demon) drowning a priest. When asked in an interview about the cover, Dio said something along the lines of “How do you know it’s not a priest killing a demon/The Devil?”.

My interpretation: Dio is pushing the pill down our throat that nothing is what it seems. Can be easily translated in the redpill truth that “There are no unicorns/AWALT, so don't believe what you see”.

Holy Diver - Song

Between the velvet lies, there’s a truth that’s hard as steel.

Velvet lies. Lies coming out of manipulators’ mouth. Not that there are only female manipulators, but females are the masters in this subject. The truth is hard as steel and it's too late when most people realize that.

Don’t talk to strangers - Song

Don’t go to heaven ‘cause it’s really only hell..

Don’t believe what you see. Don't believe the "heavenly looks" (Make up, fake nails, fake hair/ass/tits, fake photos with filters or photos from an angle that hides the truth). Marriage is presented as the heaven and the only thing that will make a man happy. Never forget the praying mantis and the black widow that kill their mate brothers.

Don't let them inside your mind yeah. Run away, run away, go. No, no, don't let them in your mind or catch your soul.

That’s an easy one I think: Don’t talk too much about your thoughts/plans. Keep your frame, go your own way.

Don't talk to strangers. 'Cause they're only there to make you sad. Don’t dream of women. 'Cause they'll only bring you down.

Strangers here can be anyone (like enemies/people that hate you or want you harm you or women). But notice how he explicitly mentions women. Once again he states that we should stay away from “anchors” that keep us away from our dreams/passions/targets. Stay away from any parasitic behavior. Go your own away.

Straight through the heart - Song

Living in a world of make believe I can hide behind what's real.

We are living in a world of illusions, nothing is what it seems. You don't know who you can trust or if you can believe what you see before your eyes. Especially when it comes to human relationships.

But wearing your emotions on your sleeve and they all know what you feel.

We are living in a word that men are not allowed to express their feelings. Either because someone will use their emotions against them (via manipulation) or because females will lose attraction the moment the man expresses the “weakness” of being honest about his feelings. Never take advice on this subject from women or soyboys.

​

That's it! I understand that my interpretations might seem abstract/poetic/whatever. Overall I think it's a very good album no matter if you agree with my interpretations or not. Another thing I noticed is that the older I get (I'm 29) the older is the music I prefer to listen to.
