I work for a local 2 site pub company in the UK. The owner has 2 highly successful pubs within 1 mile of each other, he has owned them both for 13 years. Last year he divorced from his wife and the kids moved with her to around 240 miles away.
He later found out that she was 'entitled' to 50% of the business, despite not ever having worked on the business or investing in it, and the sum of money needed to buy 'her' half was too great for him to get together through loans or sale of assets. He has just sold the business he built over 13 years, his pride and joy, off to a corporate pub company, to settle a divorce.
Whoever litigated their divorce thought that it was best for everyone that the kids be moved to the other end of the country, and that he sell his business in order to pay for their mother to look after them, rather than to leave them with their dad in their home town, and allow the more financially stable parent to take care of them.
And feminists think we live in a man's world.

That's a double win for the marxists. A family is destroyed and a locally owned business goes down to corporate influence. It's a shame the UK has been completely disarmed other than the odd country shotgun, the Old Country is badly in need of a revolution.

Probably describes herself as a "successful business woman" because she lives on the assets of a business... that she acquired through divorce.

R.I.P. to those pubs, lads. Hats off, this is sad.

He was lucky to only lose 50%.
Although she probably got everything from the sale of the family home plus all of the savings & pensions.
