It would still be $1200 after she quits her job.

And still $2000 after she divorce-rapes him.

Yep, a lot of people don't realize that's part of the marriage contract, that you're liable for any kids she has, regardless of being yours or not. That's literally the law, and no lawyer or luck will help you.

Good point...

I was never so poor in my life than when I was married. Delaying bill paying, paying for stuff on credit card until pay day - every month was difficult.
They really are parasites. In the end, what did we have to show for all that money? Nothing.
These days, working makes money pile up in my account. I left work 4 months ago because I wanted a change. Money is running out, I'm getting bored, time to go and get a job.

That's the thing I really have a tough time understanding. I've been seeing a girl who makes fair bit more than me, but I honestly have no idea where it all goes.

I think I would set fire to the house if I ever saw that live laugh love poster in it.
[–]dark2kn1ght0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The funny thing is they don't do any of what the poster says lol

Ask her to give you her credit cards for a few months - if she can stop using them - she will suddenly find herself capable of saving.

Your situation is what my dad is going through, it's really disturbing to see it with my own eyes. My mom is a useless typical feminist bitch for all the debts that my dad has to clear because of her only interest. It's like I'm living in a single parent family with only my dad supporting

You’ll be lucky enough to get an allowance.

Nothing depresses me more than a guy whining about how his wife does/doesn't "allow" him to do something.
I got a taste of what that was like with my mom, I think I've grown up enough to not have to recreate that with a random woman.

I got downvoted on /r/malelivingspace for pointing out the phrasing used in a guys title...he was ALLOWED to put a home theater setup in the basement.

It’s their own fault for putting themselves in that situation and not getting out of it.

A friend of mine earned 15,000 RMB a month. He lived with a girl. He tries to save but somehow all the money always disappears over the course of a month.
One month he decided to buy a motorbike. No need to save; he just spent 5K on the bike and took it home.
His gf was furious. He talked about it to me later bewildered; he couldn't understand why she was so upset that he had spent his own money to buy a bike.
At this point I started laughing and he asked me why.
"Don't you see? She has no job. She lives off you.Normally she spends your money; but this month you spent 5k of it on yourself. She's furious because as far as she's concerned she lost 5K this month!"
He was horrified when he realized. They didn't last much longer after that (a few months I think.)
I love a happy ending.

And if you have kids, the wife suddenly gets $3000 because the man needs to earn more to support them all.
And the gynocentric statistics will try to encourage men to marry because they'll show you evidence that "When you're married, you're making more money!!"
Yeah, but they never mention how much you keep.
