Everything here was supposed to disappear. Banned subreddits, deleted communities, cancelled blogs — much of what is archived here survives nowhere else.

It stays free — no paywall, no account — for the next man who comes looking, the way it was free for you.

I pay for the servers, the storage and the bandwidth myself. If you want this record still standing in ten years, become one of the people who keeps it online.

learn foreign languages, be self-employed, become financially independent, set goals based on your dreams and achieve them

You answered your own question.. Be the best you can be. Are you on college? Study more. Do you lift regularly? Lift more, focus on form, search for info on internet, talk with other gym bros. Do you like reading books? Go to the nearest library ffs.. You got the idea. For someone who's been a long time lurker for that amount of time, that should be obvious..

Depending on your career, consider picking up Zig Ziglar's "Secrets of Closing the Sale". He touches upon a lot of sales technique in the book, sure. A lot of that advice is great for life in general though and it's a decent read.

Edited a word

What I think is important first and foremost, is to focus on your passion, and even make a career out of it. If you're already doing that, maybe work on other things, like maybe investing, some alternative creative outlet, anything that interests you.

Another thing which I believe is overlooked, is researching philosophy. It's always good to open your mind to different world-views, interpretations, etc. What you should start with is people like Nietzsche, Carl Jung, and your popular Greek philosophers. Finally another thing I'd encourage is not just travel, but experience other people's ways of life. You can even do this in your own city exploring different sub-cultures.

Spend time learning an instrument, get to the habit of make your bed. Medicate everyday, start off with 5 mins and work your way up to an hour.

Medication everyday for the win.

I’m up to 20mins per day now, one of the biggest advice I can give you is to imagine you doing activities whilst medicating. I like to visit my childhood house.

Do you perchance mean meditating?

Never date Fatties because they have a nice personality. This story is one of the lowest points in my life and I'm embarrassed about it but you need to learn from my mistake. A little while ago, this girl I worked with would always flirt with me and gave strong advances. Cute face but absolutely terrible body. She was like 5 feet tall and probably like 170+ pounds so she looked like a fucking apple. I did not find her attractive at all but her personality was good. I tried desperately to somehow find her attractive but just couldn't. For some reason I thought that I could transform this girl and train her fat ass into shape because if she lost the weight she would be really hot. I suggested we do physical activities together but she never wanted to. The relationship lasted one week. The moment that just threw me over the edge was when I texted her one day asking her how her day is going and she responded back "I'm at Applebees again! I have no shame!" Wow, LOL. Why would she ever send me that? I don't want to hear about your stuffing your face every day while your already fucking obese; biggest turn off ever. Broke up with her right after that. I realized you can't force fat girls to change, they have to want to change by themselves and even then its still an uphill battle. She texted me for the next two months and I never responded. I was very tempted to tell her why I broke it off but I imagined the possible metaphoric volcano that could erupt. It's a real shame because if she was fit then she'd be a good girlfriend.

This sub focuses too much on females.

Would you go to the bodybuilding sub and complain that they talk about exercise too much?

Half the threads on this subreddit are full of shit. The only good stuff I can ever find useful is some threads from the past which I've saved, and also the posts from a few posters on here whose post history I read.

You can feel free to contribute instead of whining, even if what you write is a recap of those saved posts. 99% of what there is to say has already been said anyway.

Here's what I want you to do: delete this post. Then, out of those saved posts, pick your favorite five. Write a paragraph (3-4 sentences) summarizing each, and link to them. You can even feel free to add a section about which users you follow and why.

Make sure to include an intro, describing why you're making the post, and a conclusion that contains a call to action, as you said:

"Does anyone have any good lifestyle advice, apart from lift, nutrition, cold showers, waking up early etc.

"Any books to read? Any books about starting a business/making money etc. (Not the bullshit self help books please), Habits to implement etc? Anything useful would be good."

If you do this well, you will generate conversation and find exactly what you claim to be looking for in this post.

Be the change you want to see.

What there needs to be more of on this subreddit is actual advice for guys to succeed in this world.

... but when you do write a post that belongs here, leave out your opinions about what TRP does and doesn't need.
