If you're asking if it's benefitial it can be but also can not be it depends on what ones looking for.

If you want romance without the physical it could work until someone gives in and gets physical with someone else. Probably works best with an asexual online partner. Also probably easier to be charismatic behind a screen to because there's no real face to face intimidation and that has to be a big piece in how these relationships spark because charisma is how you attract people romantically.

Think of online relationships as two lonely people being alone together.

I have a hard time trusting people in reality though i couldn't possibly trust someone ive never met that would be foolish.

I have a short distance relationship with my GF - she lives 10 minutes away. I get to fuck her on a regular basis. You can't do that in an LTR can you?
