Holy Molly, what a horror history. A woman rejected by a guy and got mad, told some fake ass full o flaws history and the guy got sentenced to 12 years... If this shit happened in my country he would have his ass raped every day or so in prison, if not murdered. I sincerely can't imagine how the prosecutor is able to sleep at night after pushing that phony tale and ruin a young man's life (or even the judge and jury to be honest).

After the verdict was reached, Wilson’s attorney asked the judge to disregard sentencing guidelines out of a lack of corroborating evidence beyond a reasonable doubt and to grant Wilson probation, or at least a shorter prison sentence. The District Judge denied the request.

Did he also file his motion to set aside the verdict? Or do they not have those in Kansas?

Nevertheless, the jury, mostly comprised of female jurors, found Albert Wilson guilty of one count of rape. Douglas County District Judge Sally Porkony, presiding over the case, sentenced him to a little over twelve years in prison.

This is a bit of an idiot's gambit in rape cases. The strategy goes that women, through the use of their magic woman powers, can tell when another woman is lying, therefore, stack the jury with women. In this case, it backfired spectacularly.

Also, the judge threw the book and a shelf at this guy. 12 for a first-offender on a he said, she said? Oof.

Ya'll gonna learn about that Pence Rule. The only question is whether you learn the easy way, or the hard way.
