Yesterday in the thread "Brett Kavanaugh's Hearing Has Started The Beginning Of The End" I left a reply citing the need for us to band together with those we have a common cause with.

Rather than retype my wall of words, (as I'd much rather write a new wall of words) I have decided instead to illustrate further my position using the Battle of Teutoburg Forest as an example.

The documentary from which my notes are taken is

"Germania: The Battle Against Rome" found on Youtube. It's about an hour and a half long So I'm not going to write a transcript of it, but if you have the time I highly recommend viewing it. (It's well presented and learning is fun dammit.)

Rome's policy when dealing with "barbarian" tribes was two fold. First, they would encourage the tribes to fight among themselves, always supporting the weaker of the factions so as to beat down the stronger. The second part was to take the children of the chieftans/nobility hostage and educate them as roman citizens before sending them back to the tribes in adulthood, so as the next generation of rulers would be inclined towards a pro roman viewpoint having been raised alongside them. Alliance with Rome meant domination by Rome.

The tribes of course would rebel from time to time, but without support from other tribes, (who would often back up the romans for personal gain) these rebellions accomplished nothing more than a culling of the fighting age males and a continued demoralization among the tribes as a whole.

This system worked well as to quote Tacitus "Germans each live for themselves". (who does that sound like?)

There were no towns or cities, and the romans being an urban people were unfamiliar with and fearful of the forests and swamps that dominated the region, viewing being sent there as a punishment. So the tribes had one rather substantial advantage, but never really used it until Arminius.

Arminius was the son of a Cheruscan Chieftan who was taken to Rome as a hostage alongside his brother. He was raised in the roman way, and made an impression in the legion as being an excellent soldier. He found alongside the romans against other tribal uprisings where he was able to observe firsthand where roman tactics and discipline allowed victory in open war and where the individualistic style of war practiced by the tribesmen were unsuited to open battle against the romans. These lessons stayed with him.

He was also close to Varius, a roman general who viewed him as something of a son figure, and Arminius accompanied him when Varius was tasked with overseeing Germania. Although by this point Arminius was a trusted captain of scouts, being back among his people and seeing their position as slaves of rome was something that must have eaten at him. Alongside this it is likely that he saw an opportunity here to not only aid his people but perhaps even raise himself as king.

Being trusted by the romans, Arminius had little problem in calling together meetings of the tribal chiefs and attempting to convince them that if they followed his plan, the romans could be defeated. Even when one of these chiefs went to Varius telling him of Arminius's plan to betray rome, he was not believed. (Showing either that Arminius was a damn fine actor or that dumb ass luck plays a much larger part in history that most think, or both.)

So during that years migration from the forward camp, Arminius was able to combine both the advantage of suprise and the use of terrain to completely destroy three roman legions. While the details of the battle are extremely interesting and a masterclass in turning your enemy's strength against them, (watch the video), I am instead going to point out that under the proper circumstances even a mass of highly individualistic men can utterly defeat a disciplined powerful opponent.

"Cool Story Bro, how's this apply to Mgtow?"

Well, obviously we aren't going to be luring sjws into the woods and beating the shit out of them unless we get a hot civil war, but it does show that enough men realizing that coming together to protect their collective self interest when under normal circumstances they'd be happy to beat the shit out of each other can get results. The German tribes wanted no part of being the Kingdom of Arminus and killed him not long after the battle when he pushed for this, and went back to their usual ways, not organizing again until several centuries later. So banding together when needed does not mean yoking oneself under someone else's domination.

One of the reasons that things have gotten as fucked up as they have now is that only one side has organized effectively, and run a decades long campaign of seizing the points of power and culture, and the other has either been bought off, (the uniparty) or dedicated itself to extreme individualism which has allowed the enemy to outnumber and swarm small points of resistance, rather than lock horns with a single powerful opponent. These small victorys provide their own side with encouragement while steadily chipping away the morale of the other side. Over time this has been devestating and is the source of the 2016 election derangement, prior to this they've had their own way, hence the brutality of the Kavanaugh hearings, and the doubling down across the board. (sorry Star Wars fans it looks like Kathleen Kennedy isn't going anywhere.)

The point I am trying to make is that us as Mgtow are in a similar position as the tribes of Germania. We can either try to reach an accomidation with our enemies on an individual level, (which has been shown time and again to be impossible)

or we can as individuals chose to get off the fence and start supporting those who are fighting already. I'm not advocating Mgtow as a whole become a movement, I'm just saying we're a rather large gathering of manpower that has more to lose in the end by trying to sit this out than by getting involved with whatever group on the left's enemy list that closest matches your philosophy as an individual.

The batshit insanity of the hearings have been a wake up call to a great many people who up until now didn't really take the threat we are facing seriously. Those who'd before mock us as cowards for avoiding women have been very clearly shown an example of why Mgtow philosophy makes sense in the current era. Now so long as we don't sperg out and try to forcibly red pill people, but instead calmly and logically explain our position as a response to what the world is becoming we can avoid coming off as cultists.

Now I'm not saying that we need to start putting the opinions of others at the top of our list of priorites, but we can't completely ignore it either. The feminists have spent a great deal of effort to paint us as being ticking time bombs of violent hate, and if we can counter that impression now at a time when public opinion is more inclined to hear us out, why waste an opportunity?

The advantage that we bring to the table is that we see the truth of things. So does TRP, but the fact that we use our understanding of the truth in ways that do not involve enabling the problem is something that I think can benefit us from an optics viewpoint. The reason our enemies wish to suppress the truth is because seeing it is the first step to fixing what has gone wrong. Before one can treat, one most diagnose, and we've got that down. That is what makes us a threat no matter what we do.

Choosing the path of Mgtow means that we have chosen to override our own reproductive instinct, one of the most powerful forces in this world. Yes, many of us still partake of pussy if the price is low enough, but our instinct does not override our rational minds even then. Part of the reason a lot of people have difficulty understanding us is that the strength of will required for this is something they cannot comprehend because they themselves could not do it. Strong minded individuals who see the truth can indeed accomplish much on their own, but think on what can be accomplished should such minds work in tandem.
