Im on here because i swallowed alot of red pills not long after my wife died. I was 27 and the love of my life was gone. They say a trauma is necessary to be red pilled theres mine. I did 2 tours in iraq marine corps as a machine gunner i never felt so much pain in my life i got into online dating and thats when the true nature of women was revealed. I started diving down the rabbit hole of red pill content on youtube sandman for example as well as the red man group and other content. I currently have a girlfriend who lives with me ive explained i will never marry her and if she needs or wants a husband she needs to look elsewhere. I consider myself a redpill man i take care of myself i dont rely on my girlfriend for much. I dont think im mgtow but i follow you guys for a daily reminder to always work on myself that life is worth living and to always remind myself the true nature of women. I was raised by a single mother and i have 4 sister feminist ideals were very much a part of my thinking. Any young guys reading this date dont date whatever you do put yourself first always work on yourself noone absolutely noone will give you anything for free. Sorry about my shitty grammar im on my cellphone

I am horribly red pilled and my girlfriend get's to experience that. We live together and I keep a strict tab on expenses. She's paying exactly 50% of all mutual costs and there's a very business-oriented side to this relationship. She told me sometimes it's bothering her and she feels like there's not enough love, but then again she also appreciates me keeping tabs so she doesn't need to worry about our financials. We both have exclusive sovereignty over our own money repectively, and each has to make ends meet against the monthly mutual bill. Apart from that she's free to spend hers for whatever she wants and I never once had to tolerate any of my spendings to be criticized. It has been like this for a little longer than 2 years now and I am genuinely happy with how this works out. Neither of us wants children and both of us cut all ties with anyone who after being told to shut it could still not stop insisting that "oh it'll come" with that smug smile (Her mother is among those that didn't pass. Props to my gf for the emotional competence.)

That's a little background on what I am - clearly not MGTOW.

So why am I here? To never forget what happens if I become too soft. I try to find the balance between being a loving partner and not giving a fuck. That was the best advice I ever got, it was in some movie or series and I don't even remember which one it was: "The best thing you can do for your relationship is to not care too much".

I am emotionally prepared to go my own way, and I think that is why I didn't need to yet. She knows she is not unconditionally indispensable. Nobody is. But some people act like they're under the impression that they are. My former best firned (female best friend, never again!) acted like I needed her. One disgustingly respectless fuckup later and she's gone for over a year now.

MGTOW helps me keep focus on what I want from life. Sure, I know, some of you will argue that I don't belong here, and I don't even argue with that. I am not MGTOW. But I feel solidary to you. And if anyone of you lives in Germany close to the rhine I'll gladly invite you to a beer in my favorite burger house.

Call me naive, but despite MGTOW making their reasonings clear and obvious and the femcrowd's knee-jerk reaction to it, I still believe NAWALT.

Also, seeing hypocrisy laid bare is sort of cathartic.

To answer your question: for me personally, I like some mgtow ideals and did consider myself one of the group until I noticed a lot of the group is overt misogyny, dudes bragging about owning stuff because they don’t have a gf or wife and starting arguments with random people in unrelated comment sections because mgtow. Mgtow is a great thing when exercised properly. It’s not a bragging right. Just do your own thing. We get it, there’s a lot of things wrong with modern women (children) but what good is just contentious complaining about it? We argue that men act with logic, women with emotion but with the blind rage just thrown around, I’m not seeing it. There’s no direct solution offered to any problems, just pretty much being told not to interact with women. Which in reality, isn’t as possible as people try to make it seem. Especially since a majority of the people here are actually working standard jobs making under 32,000 a year. Mgtow is good in theory once again: don’t date or get attached to women, buy/do/focus on the things you want, etc but the constant women bashing needs to stop, the implication that you will suddenly have a shitload more money because you don’t date or marry needs to be gone, and also going into a YouTube or reddit comment section to start an arguement “on behalf of mgtow” needs to stop as well, it makes the community look bad. However, I do still support many mgtow philosophies and content creators and the overall communities. But there’s a lot of flaws. Not everything can be blamed on women either but that’s a different discussion. Sorry if this was too long.

I’m in a ltr now. If we break up I would probably go monkmode for a bit.
