We’ve been married for ten years and have two kids. We’ve started the open relationship at her request - I’m not interested/can’t handle the thought on my end. We’ve had our share of ups and downs, but nothing more serious than most young couples. She just wants a chance to experience the rest of what the world has to offer. We haven’t set a lot of ground rules other than time and safety. It started slowly with her talking to guys on dating sites. It accelerated quickly when she joined tinder. She’s on Tinder every day, morning and night. She’s met had about 5 dates from tinder and has had sex with one of them- 5 times, but I’m not counting. Theoretically I’m okay with this, but emotionally I’m not. I still love her and she says she still loves me. If we were to separate I’d get the kids - I’m the primary caregiver and it’s come up multiple times that she’d never take them away from me. But even as low as I feel I couldn’t do that to the kids - through all this we still do family activities and have fun as a family. She knows I’m upset, but I’ve been erratically up and down since this whole thing started and she’s hoping I just work through it. I don’t know if there are any good answers but it feels good to ask.
