I've skied my whole life, extreme terrain, expert-only backcountry, etc. I won't do the skydive. I'm the guy that would get the 1/1000-chance bad luck. Like a shitty pack-job on my parachute, or the instructor would have a coronary while attached to me. This and wingsuit, I'm out. However, jumping from 85+ feet into the St. Croix river is pretty fucking outta hand. I did that a few times, with tennis shoes on.. hehe

One of my co workers called out of work one time for “his first time skydiving” i was cool with it , we were slow that day. Anyways, the next day he came in, and he had a skydiving bumper sticker and looked to be the happiest I’ve ever seen him. He literally went around telling everyone about his experience . And wouldn’t be quiet all day about it. So i can sorta confirm this.

Depression =\= being sad

Please, depression is a real thing and I guarantee this is a not a 'cure' for it. The way you are using the word 'depression' is similar to how people were using 'gluten'.

People are self diagnosing themselves as gluten intolerant, saying that when they eat gluten they get gassy or stomach gets upset, which isn't what gluten intolerance is, they just have shitty diets. People are self diagnosing themselves as depressed when they get bummed out, they feel sad and hear that depressed people aren't happy, which isnt what depression is.

For your own sake, and those with depression, please learn what it means and use it correctly. Mental health is tough enough to talk about, its even tougher when the definitions are muddled.
