From what little I do know, it seems like Linus prioritized getting shit done over making sure everyone felt safe and comfortable. And people are bitching, so he's getting shoved out, and Linux is going to make everyone sit around, sing Kumbaya, and lick each other's pussies.

Linus is like Steve Jobs. They are enforcers of production. They don't use comfort and reward, they use criticism and anger for results.

I will say that Linus is an equal opportunity asshole. He's destroyed people based on their presentations, thoughts, and actions. I do recognize that women feel that they may be victimized harsher, but the truth is that Linus has no social skills or filter. He lets out with anger. Simply put, more men put up with his aggressive attitude than women.

Like it or not, Linus has changed the world for the better technology wise.

Won't do? More like CAN'T do. It's a level & type of programming that very few (relatively speaking) MALE programmers are capable of, it's essentially unheard of that women do any work on that level.

BTW, I'd be more than willing to bet that underlying this, there is actually some "RICO" style corrupt funding (no doubt indirect laundered through various philanthropic foundations & etc,but ultimately) from various large tech corporations -- who would much prefer that Linux NOT continue to exist -- and this is one way to achieve its demise.

I read an article today that a lot of the developers are mad at him and may pull code that they've contributed. The article details how they have the right to do so and it'll leave the current distros of Linux with huge security gaps. Effectively making Linux completely useless.
