I've yet to meet any man who has ever said that getting married was a sound financial move. Just the opposite in fact. It's really only the bluest of blue pill guys who will believe this nonsense.

there are tax incentives (surprise, surprise) for being married which may appear to give one higher earnings; you just get to keep more of your earnings.

In my situation, my ex spent more per month when we were married than I pay in alimony and child support combined. Other than the one-time hit to my wealth, it's cheaper not to keep her for me.

I was just about to post this aftr seeing it on my Linkedin feed , they are right Married Men do make more... because productive romantics are prime real estate for women .

I know so many capable and intelligent men who reached the peak in their abilities only to decide " Guess I ought to go get married now and make my life complete " . Even before I was MGTOW It made me sad how unhappy some of these guys seemed to be over their marriages after we've had a few drinks .

They adore their families but holy shit did it sound like maintaining and satisfying a wife and all her needs was hell. Nothing but love for the kids but the wives were ruining them .

There is some truth here.
In my country, men receive raises when the get married or have children. There's a bias against unmarried men.

That is a textbook error: the kind of error that you get specifically warned against in textbooks on the subject.

It is literally a textbook error. The newly published book Causal Inference In Statistics: A Primer by Judea Pearl, Madelyn Glymour and Nicholas P. Jewell is a text book. "Study question 1.2.1" at the top of page 6 asks What is wrong with the following claims?

(a) "Data show that income and marriage have a high positive correlation. Therefore, your earnings will increase if you get married."
