Alright my dudes, I need you to either give me the green light or snap me out of it. I’m on board with MOST of what I see on this sub, but I do think successful marriages do happen (rarely, like my parents/grandparents).

I make a lot of money and I work hard for it. I don’t flaunt it and dress almost exclusively in Hurley shirts, boardshorts, and flip flops. The only indication of my income is probably my Mercedes and even it isn’t super expensive but not what most 27 year-olds drive I guess.

The woman I’m seeing now seems like an anomaly. She treats me like a king, packs me lunches when I sleep over, and just generally goes above and beyond to be good to me. I’m happy with her. We are both Christians but she’s usually the one keeping me in check (religiously).

She has a fantastic body and an even better heart She’s seen me act like an asshole and seen me go through some pretty traumatic life events. I am an above average looking dude so most would say were about on even ground I guess. She has an 11 year old son who’s cool af and we even play video games together sometimes.

Here’s what throws me off. I live in a 2 bedroom townhouse that I rent - she owns a nice house and a car both of which are paid off and she is completely stable without me.

I can definitely see a future with her but I’m terrified after what I’ve been through with my x wife. The things I read on this page reinforce those fears but I still feel she is very different. Is there a such thing as a genuinely good woman that won’t fuck you over and they’re just very rare? Have I found one that’s actually worth it?

Plot twist: She has ZERO idea how much I really make and always offers to pay for me and loan me money when I complain about expenses (like my merc having its stereotypical electrical BS).
