Hiya guys. I’ll be plain, I frankly don’t have a ton of cash on hand to invest.

That said, what I do have is time. I am happy to invest in something relatively low yield, but secure. I’m looking to pay in over the next 20 years or so, probably not pulling anything out until the 30 year mark and not being at all dependent on it until 40 years. What I want is some measure of control.

I never actually intend to retire; I plan to work until I croak. So I can depend on at least a part time income going into the twilight years. Honestly, retirement and not having a place to go doesn’t speak to me. I’m lucky to have a good, relatively well paying job I can do until I go blind.

Still, I’d like to have something secure and perhaps get into renting out real estate.

Any advice on where to focus, given these vague thoughts?
