I remember this "grrl power" episode from the Justice League animated series from the 00s. Haven't seen it since I was a kid, but it always stuck with me because even back then I could see the blatant propaganda.

Basically the plot revolved around Wonder Woman's long lost Amazonian sister who is basically this insane feminazi who wants to eradicate all men. She realeases a plague that infects all males, including Batman, Superman and every other male Justice League member. Naturally, Wonder Woman and the girl with wings (can't remember her name) have to save the day. What's funny was seeing all the female paramedics, doctors, police and firefighters who had to deal with the aftermath of the plague. Of course they all handled it like pros and cooperated smoothly without the assistance of men. The episode really tried to emphasise this point.

Then the other day I saw the clip from that reality show where a group of people have to survive on a deserted island. The group was split into two teams of men and women and had to manage without the other gender on their respective parts of the island. The women were all too busy bickering and pointing fingers at each other and didn't get shit done, while the men immediately started fishing, foraging and build shelter. In a few days, the women had used up all their supplies and were constanly plagued by bugs and weather conditions. The men, on the other hand, had a thriving little community going.

I guess seeing that clip brought back memories of the Justice League episode. I just thought it was a funny contrast, seeing how the media is always trying to tell us how women can manage just fine without men and do everything better, but then reality comes along and shows us a completely different picture.
