Part/Episode 1 is a fucking HELLUVA lot funnier.

EDIT: Meanwhile on MAN island... handful of guys went on a "water run" and not only fetched a shitton of fresh water (by the way, NOT getting "lost" or walking endlessly in circles for days)... but also (just coincidentally mind you) stumbled on a pig, and so they chased it, killed, trussed it up and brought it back to butcher & roast.

EDIT 2: Also, after watching the "Man Island" clips, another couple things stood out to me about the "Women Island" chicks... to begin with the women are incredibly arrogant (and, given the outcome, obviously delusional) about their abilities to cope; but moreover in addition to that (and the emo crying, the "pointless/purposeless chatting circles" arguments etc), what stands out most is what ELSE is MISSING... not just competence, but any and all forms of GRATITUDE.

By contrast the men seem grateful -- even openly/outwardly THANKFUL -- for just about everything... heck they even "thank" the pig (several times in fact).

Watched... nothing really surprised me. Couple things that stood out though were:

Total of 30+ women -- of varying ages & professions, life experience -- and yet even COLLECTIVELY they can't figure out how to start a fire, how to NOT walk in a circle(or follow a shoreline/coast) or even how properly collect rain water for fucks sake.
How "crying" (alternating with bitching, moaning, arguing) seems to be their default/go-to attempt at problem solving... but of course it doesn't work in this case, because MEN not around to be manipulated into solving their problems for them (though of course ultimately men DO come to their "rescue").
The woman "doctor" -- presumably (and they seemed to insinuate such via little side comments) a "medical doctor"-- just as much of an completely ignorant/dumbass bitch as the rest. (Remember that the next time you're in some clinic or hospital setting... not saying male doctors are necessarily "guaranteed" to be any more "competent"; just that "degrees" {even advanced degrees that at least purportedly include "rigorous" training/testing etc} do not necessarily mean they actually COMPREHEND one damned bit of what they supposedly "know"... the vast majority of the "knowledge" of the vast majority of people {whatever their "education "level or attainment, title, degrees} is nearly always "rote" knowledge, myna bird like jargon mimicry & regurgitation, "going through the motions" emulation, WITHOUT comprehension or deep understanding.*)
The concept of TRUE "teamwork" -- sitting down and actually hashing out a "plan of action" -- is beyond them: Oh no doubt they had various little "meetings" and shit... but it certainly doesn't appear that they were anything BUT (yet another) opportunity for them to get "emotional"... MOAR crying, bitching, whinging, etc. (Even -- although admittedly this was 25+ years ago, and thus with late GenX boys; so who knows what holds with "Millennials" -- being out in the woods with a bunch of "tenderfoot" teen & a couple of preteen boys... none of them were anywhere NEAR as "whiney" or as incompetent as these "adult" women.)
As completely incompetent -- and flustered, emotional, distressed, helpless -- as these women APPEARED to be in the video that we saw... you know damned well it's been EDITED to HIDE (or at least reduce/minimize) the TRUE degree of just how inept they actually were. Guaranteed that the worst of the emo-meltdowns were left on the cutting room floor.
Also... one has to keep in mind that these kinds of things are always "faux-reality" -- IOW regardless of the degree of so called "commitment" to NOT asking for "help/assistance" (or of men stepping in to provide it) -- everyone IS aware (as indeed one or more of them even mentioned) that there IS a "safety net" and that they can "tap out" at any time they want... IOW all of the crying/bitching & other emoting, is nowhere NEAR the level that it would really be at if they were TRULY "lost" out in the wild, with actual survival utterly and completely dependent upon their OWN actions... and with no possible help (or rescue) at hand. IN that scenario, most of these (admittedly "modern/western" and therefore ill-equipped) women would just sit in the mud and cry until they died.
Guaranteed though that -- even though this OUGHT to have been a "humbling" experience for them (making them at least be slightly grateful/appreciative of what MEN have built in terms of civilization/technology) -- when they returned, they almost certainly "hamstered" away any and all of that, and instead I'd bet that ALL of them doubled down on their beliefs that "women can do anything men can do" etc (and that any/all of their failures on this "adventure" are {somehow} the fault of MEN/PATRIARCHY, etc).

* Separate side proof of this (male AND female) is in rather banal things like checking to see if MIT engineering graduates (yes THAT "MIT") can figure out how to light a bulb with a batter and ONE wire... hint: most of them couldn't.
