So I love videogames and enjoy movies... I'm black and you know what really boggles my mind ? While I enjoy seeing people like me represented in media , I have not felt like there was a barrier between my appreciation and the race, religion, nationality, or any other social quality behind a good character that made me appreciate them less.

When I see these shrill harpies and soyboys cry about how they feel repressed and under represented just because a movie didn't have X amount of people in some capacity it boggles my mind .

Mario being both italian and a plumber ( neither things which I am ) has never made me not love playing as him . Iron Man being white and wealthy also never played a factor in me loving the shit out of Tony Stark / Robert Downey Jr.

So when I hear people clamor for identity politics in media instead of quality stories and interesting characters that ALL of us can see ourselves in my mind is boggled .

What shallow person puts the identity politics of a character over the content of a character, how empty must you be for that to be the defining rallying cry of if content is good or not ?

It's the dumbest argument I've seen . I loved Black panther for lots of reasons not just because he was a black superhero but because seeing cyber africa was a new take we rarely see in film. the musical score and technology also was designed differently . It was a re imagining of similar genre tropes .

Still at its core I'd like to believe the story was relatable and enjoyable for EVERYONE .

I think those of us who enjoy good media appreciate good media and can appreciate whoever is on screen . we don't need more soapboxing and social preaching from people who are completely removed from the real world and the joyful escape that our entertainment is supposed to provide .

Get politics out of my sports, get politics out of my movies, get politics out of my games. I want to have a drink, have a laugh, be amazed or have my heart pulled for a while and just escape from home .

All of these SJW's keep forgetting that and creating media that reinforces the stressful and negative bullshit we hear about everyday and it's not good for any of us .

The entire market for these movies is male, anyway. All the "diversity" reviewers are just social engineering cheerleaders trying to make a statement. But even they are shitting on it.

SO, make a movie appealing to a market. Tell that market you don't want that market watching it, judging it, or talking about it. THEN BLAME THAT MARKET FOR NOT MAKING IT A SUCCESS AND BUYING THE BULLSHIT.

Oh, right, the Jewish powerhouse has every theater across the country shut down and only showing Captain Marvel while the USAF gets out jets to fly some patterns and pretend this is all normal and celebration-worthy.

Currently at 81% at RT critics and 34% by audience. Yea that critic score is obviously inflated. As even Metacritic gives it a 65% on critic score, and IMDB gives it a 6.6/10. Yea this movie is definately NOT on the Marvel level. Infact these reviews are probably worse than Thor:TDW (what Marvel fans call the worst MCU movie).
