Projection - mostly. It's what many women who string along a beta man want as well. But I guess if I had women throwing themselves at me left right and Center because I was a top 20% man my human decency would be sorely tested as well. In a world in which the majority of sex is more and more casual, who would commit if they don't have to? Sure, it's better in the long run, but this is a BRUTAL test of impulse control. Sexual liberation drove down the value of relationships and faithfulness - so chads want a girlfriend as a standby and so she increases their value through preselection, and many women want a betabux cuck as a standby and resource provider while they fuck Chad.

"Guys" meaning Chads, who have always been that way because those are the guys every girl wants. Chad has never had to treat a woman well to keep her attention. If women started considering even the top 30% (instead of just the top 5%) they'd find plenty of guys who just want a single good girl they can be happy with. Unfortunately for them women just can't think like that.
