My boss is a good, responsible dude. Married this woman who is lazy and has poor impulse control. He takes earns about 80% of their household income and does the majority of the chores. They have kids so she does her part there. I asked him about how his V-day was. He wasn't going to buy her anything, he said, and then felt guilty on his way home. Stopped off and bought a overpriced bouquet of roses. He put the kids to bed and then ordered some delivery for them. Jokingly asked if she was going to put out - nope. I look at it this way: You can feel depressed because you’re not in a relationship, not getting laid etc. But with the right mindset, you can overcome that and feel happy on your own - the solution is what you already have. If a relationship or a marriage makes you unhappy, you’re in an entirely different and worse situation - the steps towards happiness are usually many more and the road is much tougher.
