The wall hits rich women hardest. All of a sudden, they have a problem that can't be solved with money, not even with a lot of money. You don't want to be anywhere near that; typical outcome is severe alcoholism. To the credit of gillian anderson: she is at least aware of the problem of the wall and openly discussing it. And the remarkable thing is that the wall itself is invisible in "polite" (mainstream) media. Noöne acknowledges that it even exists; instead, we have goody-goody "where have all the men/catcalls gone"? Usually giving the wrong answer to that question. I don't think that pretending to be stupid in regard to the wall serves women well. But, of course, admitting that post-nubile women are ignored, because that's all the value women can inherently have, would be anti-ideological. "The naked emperor" comes to mind, but a naked gillian anderson is not exactly an appetizer.
