My parents taught me nothing. My dad was supportive and gave advice but that was only related to school. Nothing else. My mother only spent money in regards to school but didn't put any effort into being a mother or raising or teaching me anything.

Regarding men and women, our parents know what's going on. You can talk to the elderly and they confirm it. Men being expected to be useful after earning their worth is nothing new. Raising men to be subservient to women is nothing new either. Women being allowed to do what men are hated for is nothing new. You get the idea.

It seems as if most people's parents are useless when it comes to the honest truth about men and women. Deep down, they obviously know the truth, but seem to only spit out cookie cutter Disney tropes when it comes to men, women and relationships.

They're obviously brainwashed...

I was pretty much left to raise myself, I never got advice, rarely got sympathy, if there were any issues then I was expected to work it out for myself.

They're from a different generation, they have no idea how people interact nowadays. They come from simpler times.

My father was the alcoholic town drunk and my mother was a self-centered hypochondriac. I was on my own from the age of 16, and think I'm better off today because of their role models and from subsequent experiences. I had a natural inclination very young to be on my own and not rely on others and its served me well all the way to MGTOW.

well, i'm gonna hit you from a few different angles:

firstly, one of my truisms which you already know: *women produce, promote and foster global simphood (and it starts with your mother)

with that being said, that doesn't explain why my father didn't teach us (4 boys) about women, when i had non-relative males around me who did teach things to boys/young men about women. but when i was a teen i asked him something and he actually did tell me about the bait 'n' switch my mother pulled on him

now then lnot pointed out how teenagers don't listen (also remember today's indoctrination schooling). so now i have a son. ever since he was about 5 years old i started telling him these things. he used to tell his friends i was a mysogynist. HOWEVER, after he started dealing with women he's told me, "yo pops everything you told me about women is true." also his best friend is red pilled as fuck. now he's always sending me red pill memes and stuff like that

now back to fathers. i think, aside from the blue pill aspect, most fathers FEEL that their son also needs to marry, have children, to "be a real man" and carry on the family genes

unfortunately, i don't see this scenario changing any time soon. but more and more men, obviously, NEED to start teaching their sons, AND other boys and young men. i know i'm doing my part as much as possible

ps: don't waste any more energy being pissed off about this. just accept it, move on and make some positives out of it

Anger really is wasted emotion. I've found that we all have childhood issues we have to overcome in our journey towards growing up. Even people who had "perfect childhoods" have just as much to deal with - for example, they usually have had relatively little experience dealing with negative emotions, poor feelings of self-worth, having to overcome obstacles by themselves (without the support of others), etc. Always be looking and moving forward, wherever "forward" may be for you.

To answer your question though, I grew up with this as my main goal in life: "I do not want to be like my father." He was always around, but never there. He took me fishing... once. The only times he ever talked with me, was when he was storming at me with his belt after I intentionally did something to piss him off for attention. He wasn't abusive, he just had no capacity to relate, and no interest in being a father. I've since learned he's actually incredibly autistic.

I moved out of home when I was 20, across the country, to my first job. I had been sheltered, and could barely function in society. I realized I needed to change and grow, and that's what I did. Many years later, after many many challenges and obstacles I willingly pitted myself against... life is great, and I love myself - partially because I was fortunate enough that my childhood was so... empty... that everything I've achieved was on me, by me, for me. I've learned I can handle anything life throws at me.
