I only discovered this movement recently, so hopefully someone can help me out. When I came across this sub, and the people here, I just thought that it was ridiculous. Men hating, and trying to limit their contact with all women? That can't be healthy.
Since then, I've kind of been on the fence about it. After reading a lot of posts, and looking around me, I can certainly see where a lot of the hate comes from.
My mother and sister can be incredibly selfish and entitled. They're very emotional, and are prone to stress, beyond reason. There's not talking to them when they're angry, they refuse to listen, but will still expect me to listen to their poor arguments and their uncalled-for insults. My sister even tried to manhandle me out the house the other day, for no good reason. Unsuccessfully, of course, but it did get me thinking: Imagine if I had done the same her.
Usually after these heated outbursts, I'll be the one to apologise. It's just easier than having to put up with the passive aggressiveness that ensues if I don't. I was always taught that that's just how women are, and men should just comply. Now I'm beginning to think that's sort of idiotic, and hypocritical. Imagine a woman saying she gives in to her husband's temper, out of fear of emotional and physical abuse.
Also, girls in school. I've noticed how they can get away with behaviour that'd be unacceptable, had it be done by any of the boys. And their constant whining over everyone and everything all the time, is enough to drive anyone insane. So shallow. Perhaps they deserve their own post, actually.
Anyway, I'm ranting. I'm interested to know some stories of how other people ended up here, to what extent do they avoid women, and what they think we can do about it. I like some of what is said here, but I don't think it's right to hate all women, just the culture that enables some of them to behave like this.
