Little girls used to dream about being mothers and having a nice home with a nice husband to have nice kids in .

We've now elevated the dreams of women to heights they can't possibly reach. They all want to marry a rich handsome man who can take them on lots of vacations, pay all the bills and have a nanny watch the kids . This dream husband is also not clingy and respects her desire to do anything she wants while also omnisciently understanding what she needs all without uttering a single world.

Women are unhappy because they believe now that they can have everything and when they have anything less they are miserable.

TLDR; Lack of impactful/consequential choices in the lives of both men and women is what is making them unhappy.

I have been thinking about this a bit and I think what is going on at the core of all this is a struggle for the dwindling resource that is personal agency.

Personal agency, Is essentially a sense of being in control of ones own life/surroundings. A quick example is ever notice how you feel fine behind the wheel but as soon as someone else is in control things get scarier? I first experienced it as a kid on the back of a Sea-doo. When I was driving I was having a blast, when my sister was driving (or anyone else there) it was terrifying! Over time, our society has been replacing real agency, choices that come with consequences, with what I call Zero calorie agency, where you have made a choice but it doesn't really effect any outcome. This is also one of the reasons why gaming has become so popular. It's virtual personal agency. If you can't make an impact on this world you can make an impact on another! It's choose your own adventure with varying emphasis on choice.

Now, this is actually a bigger issue. I am essentially describing the currency/economy of happiness and depression for both men and women but lets stick to the topic at hand, for now.

We've talked about it a couple different ways on here but there is the thought that the process of making the homemakers life easier through appliances contributed heavily to what we are seeing today. Society thought they were helping women by making their lives easier but in reality we were dissolving their personal agency. They were becoming bored and unhappy and had no idea why. THE MEN MUST HAVE DONE IT! After all, they are still happy!

Thus began the war over a resource nobody understood. Women are right in trying to reclaim their agency. Where they a wrong is that it can and should be stolen from men.

That is what makes MGTOW so incredible, and in their eyes, dangerous. We here figured out how to reclaim our agency without even realizing what it is or stealing/hurting anybody. Because that is the thing you realize once you understand it is an INFINITE RESOURCE that can be cultivated by anyone! All you have to do is take control. It doesn't have to be big. Just saying no to something you truly do not want to do instead of giving into someone elses requests/demands will get the ball rolling.

It's like they began stealing and hording agency from men and then we just went and made more! As much as we want! WE AREN'T PLAYING FAIR!!!!! Fair, what a bullshit word. Like the universe should give a shit that someone is better off than you in some meaningless way. If you believe something to be unjust you fight, like nature always intended, survival of the fittest. But they know they would lose that fight so they run crying to big daddy Gov'ment!

Currently, we live in a world overflowing with choices that mean NOTHING and those that have yet to realize this consciously or subconsciously are starving of a lack of personal agency. I believe that is why we live in such a technologically wonderful world and yet so many are unhappy to the point of suicide. A life on rails is no life at all. Come to think of it... this is pretty much the trope of "do you believe in fate?" seen all over media throughout my life.

This is why so many men are popping right out of depression when they start a MGTOW lifestyle. They are finally in control again and now that you know, it can never be taken from you again. Unless you let them, of course.

I actually had this discussion with a girl, who constantly blamed others for her being happy or unhappy - even when she wasn't in a relationship.

I told her you are in charge of your own happiness. They don't "make" you feel that way, you make yourself feel that way. Make better choices.

How much you give of yourself determines how happy you are. But everything in the mainstream geared towards women is "Take more. You deserve more. They owe you more."

The more a person makes their life about taking instead of giving, the emptier they get. I think it really is that simple.

And their mental habits are ingrained with that selfish way of thinking, so when they do finally have that "I'm not happy" epiphany they do no self inspection. Instead they "TAKE what I can FROM HIM and find someone else who can GIVE ME what I need".

Ironically, there's no such thing as a strong, independent woman. Just the thought is a paradox.

I think women are unhappy for the same reasons a spoiled child often is: they lack direction, a sense of purpose, and achievement. Women used to be forced to some extent to possess these qualities in order to be a good mother that took care of a household and multiple children l, while her spouse worked to provide money for said household. Now that they can live life pretty much free of any forced sense of purpose and zero accountability, and don’t have the self-discipline like many MGTOW men do to find it themselves, they are left feeling empty. Does a young kid think they would be happier if they could eat ice cream for every meal? Probably. Would they actually be happy doing this? Maybe for a short period of time, but not over the long-term.

Women are unhappy because they're experiencing a man's world in their quest for "equality", and they don't like it.

Women will now have to grind the corporate ladder, competing with others for positions, just like men. Only a small percentage love their work, for the rest, it's a stressful grind. Suddenly, being a stay at home mom sounds like a blessing.
Women will have to compete with other women for an ever decreasing pool of rich successful men. They now know that it ain't easy being the one doing the chasing.
