The second sentence is something a friend and I have been discussing.

There are some real badass women in the cryptosphere, innovating, creating, making crypto better, safer, friendlier for noobs.

This sentiment to me I think is highly underrated when it comes to business and industry of any sort. Whenever barriers to entry are artificially reduced because "equality", a decline in quality, catastrophe, and government intervention follows. This is a problem with human nature and business we have yet to overcome.

I've learned self regulation is the norm for any nascent industry. Once an attempt is made to introduce the masses this becomes impossible. Women by their very nature don't tend to be at the forefronts of movements. Once you see them trying to carve their niche and put a stamp on things you know you've peaked and the decline has come if not already started. In terms of the Technology adoption life cycle:

The industry leaders and creators passionate about their product are careful and competent with managing their vision. These are the Innovators.
As it grows and becomes more mainstream, less innovative yet still competent people show up to the scene. These are the Early Adopters.
However it's this next group where things peak. The Early Majority are the brighter half of the average population. They aren't smart enough to invent the product, not clever enough to see it's potential and get in early, but bolster the product to mainstream status. They are also the cause of the decline of the product. These women in the article are proof of this.
The Masses aka The Late Adopters. These women seek to bring this product to the "masses." Let's be frank, the masses are the dullards, the people who repeat Colbert talking points because they think it makes them look smart. These are the people who invest late after the boom gains are largely gone. These are the people who have done little to no research but because [noteworthy person] has done it, it must work/be good. These are the people who blindly invest and when they as a class lose their money in the "crash" (caused by frenzied know-nothings) the government inevitably steps in because the normies couldn't figure out putting thousands of dollars into a product you know nothing about isn't a wise decision.
The Laggards. People who come into a product long after the crazy gains and crazy losses are made. By the time they're interested government regulation has long been established making it a "safe" (it's all security theater) place to park their money.

Shit, I'm a good looking guy and I can't remember the last time I got a compliment that wasn't from a girl that I wasn't dating or fucking. I'd love if someone just randomly told me I'm handsome and smart, but I guess to women they have so much attention and compliments that getting them from some wealthy nerd isn't ok. Poor them.

WTF this is stupid. I compliment my guy friend's looks all the time. e.g. 'That's a great beard dude', or 'where'd you get that shirt', or something like, 'I see you don't skip leg day', etc... This is what I hate about working with women. You can't even act like regular colleagues because they're so fucking sensitive and neurotic.
